A note before the first pour

The older we get, the better the guest list.

This birthday is for the people who know Mika Santos in every era and still answer the group chat. Come hungry, come curious and bring one story we have not heard before.

Before tonight

A few chapters before the candles.

The birthday is one night, but the archive is much longer. Here are a few pages from the story so far.

Mika in a quiet moment before the birthday party
  1. 2004
    The beginning

A small life with a big laugh

Before the dinner reservations and the group chats, there was a curious kid who could turn any room into a stage.

  2. 2016
    The plot thickens

    Friends became the family plan

Some people arrive for a season. These ones stayed for every late meal, wrong turn and emergency voice note.

  3. 2026
    Tonight

    Forty looks good from here

A table is waiting, the playlist is almost right and there is plenty of room for the people who made the years feel full.

The party plan

The night, in four records.

A loose itinerary for a very specific kind of evening: something cold, something sweet and one more song before we go.

The memory wall

Fifteen frames for the people who stayed.

Start with the photographs you already love. Add the blurry ones, the accidental ones and the ones that make everyone laugh.

Mika Santos's house rules

The useful bits, before the good bits.

Everything guests need to know, kept close at hand so the evening can stay gloriously unplanned.

Bring your people

Your invitation shows the places held for your household. Come ready to stay late and talk loudly.

Finding the room

Arrival guidance, parking and a map will live here, so you can spend the evening looking forward.

After-dark dressing

Wear the thing that makes you feel most like yourself, with shoes you can stand in for one more song.

No gifts required

A note, a story or your favourite bottle is more than enough. The best part is having you in the room.

Before you arrive

Good questions, answered.

If yours is not here, send a note. The birthday person is pretending not to check their phone, but someone will answer.

Is this an adults-only evening?

Yes. This one is planned as a grown-up dinner party, with a late finish and a very serious dessert course.

What should I wear?

Come as your best after-dark self. Colour, texture and comfortable shoes are all welcome.

Can I bring a guest?

Please RSVP for the household named on your invitation. If you would like to ask about a guest, send a note first.

What about gifts?

Your company is the present. If you still want to bring something, a handwritten memory or a favourite bottle would be lovely.

Will you make it?

We have saved a place for you at Mika Santos's table. A simple yes or no is perfect.
